Top Level Directory Rates: What is top level? This is the main starting page for the whole directory. All categories are listed on the top level page and this is the entry point for any visitors who click on "directory" links for other pages on iRacine.com or from other sites featuring a backlink to the iRacine Directory.

There are up to twelve advertising opportunities on the top level of the directory.

Six to eight of the advertising spots are banner ads displayed on the right-hand side of the screen and are randomized among three visuals - three banner ads which rotate the six adverts equally across directory visits (for every two visitors, one will have your ad displayed on the right-hand side of the top level of the directory, above the fold, in one of three positions). These ads are above the fold on the most used screen display resolution (1024 x 768).

What does "above the fold" and "below the fold" mean?
When we refer to above the fold, we are referring to anything readable or viewing information on a webpage which is seen on a 1024 x 768 resolution screen without having to scroll down to view the rest of the page. Inversely, "below the fold" is the information one sees once they scroll to the lower half of the webpage.

The other six to eight advertising spots are set up in a rotation identical to the "above the fold" adverts, only they fall "below the fold" and because of this cost less per month.

The top level advertising spots consist of six to eight banner ads displayed on the right-hand side of the directory, three or four banners above the fold and three or four banners below.

All banner advertising on the top level of the iRacine.com directory and are filled on a first come, first served basis. The first month is free, so you can determine if the return on investment (ROI) is worth the cost of the advertisement. However, there is a $20 non-refundable fee to prepare the ad to fit into the look and feel of the iRacine.com directory. We reserve the right to alter any pre-made advertisements, as it is very important to us every advertiser has an equal opportunity to get click throughs and ultimately make a sale or secure a customer. This means the color scheme and content of the advertisement will be screened and may be altered before being placed into the iRacine.com directory. Any and all changes must be agreed upon by iRacine.com AND the advertiser prior to running the advertisement.

Creating banner ads:
iRacine.com also has the skill set in place to generate advertising banners for or advertisers. Again, these advertisements will not be run until the advertiser and iRacine.com are both satisfied with the banner ad. iRacine.com charges $100 to create a banner advertisement from scratch. The $100 includes the $20 non-refundable fee assessed to those advertisers who already have banner ads ready to go.

Top level directory banner advertisement "above the fold" cost is: $200 per month.
Top level directory banner advertisement "below the fold" cost is $150 per month.

Advertisers also have the opportunity to pay for multiple months, and we encourage this for the discounted rates.

Categorical or Second Level Directory Rates: What is category or second level? This is the secondary page of the directory. Within the secondary page exists categories; i.e. Restaurants, Plumbers, Attorneys, etc. This level precedes a third and potentially last level of advertising. The secondary level includes "types" or "specialties" within a business. For example, under restaurants one might expect to see listings for Italian, Chinese, Thai, American, etc. These fall into the "secondary" or second level and list business under different categories.

There are up to (12) advertising opportunities on the category level of the directory. At initial launch of the directory, each category can expect to get fewer visitors than the top level of the directory. However, these visitors are more focused on the business you may be offering once they click and enter your category. Because iRacine.com is in "building" mode, the advertising cost tables for category level are lower than the top level rates. As membership grows and more people visit the directory via search engine results and referral pages, you can expect ad rates on the category level to rise faster than the top level rates.

Payment is not expected until the work is complete and both parties agree the ad is conducive to the business offering and to the look and feel of the iRacine.com site template.

Business or Third Level Directory Rates: What is Business or Third Level? This is the third page in the directory. On these pages the actual businesses (LLC, LLP, S Corp, etc.) which are registered in Racine County will find their listing here. A business listing will automatically show up in randomized order, so your business has an equal chance of being at the top of the other businesses in your level. However, aside from the (12) banner advertisements which will be available on the third level (like the Top and Category levels), this business level offers BOLD listings for business owners. A BOLD listing will automatically BOLD your listing and places your listing at the top of the business level directory. There are (5) BOLD listings available in the third level. These listings are first come, first serve and when more than one listing in the business section is purchased, the listings will randomize placement. For example, if you hold a BOLD listing in your business section and four other businesses have a BOLD listing, then the five listings will be randomized based on each visit to the page. Sometimes your business will be placed in first position and other times in fifth position. All BOLD listings will have an equal amount of time in the five positions.

BOLD Listing rates: All BOLD Listings, for any business are priced at $40 per month.
Bold Listing rates reserved for a 3-month increment are priced at $108.00 ($36 per month).
Bold Listing rates reserved for a 6-month increment are priced at $204.00 ($34 per month).
Bold Listing rates reserved for a 1-year increment are priced at $360.00 ($30 per month).
Bold Listing rates reserved for a 2-year increment are priced at $480.00 ($20 per month).

Once you have reserved and paid for your business BOLD listing there are no refunds available. We feel these are the best deals for small businesses trying to get a little extra leverage within their category. Our 1-year and 2-year increments are a dollar a day or less for advertising. If the directory brings in one or two paying customers per month, it pays for itself.

Advertisers also have the opportunity, as with our other levels of advertising, to pay for multiple months, and we encourage this for the discounted rates.

Please note: Two year contracts are not available for the banner advertising options at any level. The two-year ad contracts are only available for your BOLD Listings. The advertiser always has first right of refusal on keeping their advertisements in place. However, if payments cease at the end of the contract, we will consider the advertiser no longer wishes to advertise in the iRacine.com directory. Then the ad space is filled on a first come, first served basis. However, in the case of first come, first served, iRacine.com will keep a running list in order of when a prospective advertiser filled out a request (based upon the earliest request date). If you are waiting for an ad space to open up, iRacine.com will periodically send out an update to those waiting for space to inform them where they stand in line and ultimately to offer ad space when an advertiser drops from the program.

Invoicing:
iRacine.com does invoicing through Google Checkout. Google Checkout takes many forms of payment, to include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Google Checkout also manages long-term subscriptions through an invoicing system, which will inform you when the next payment is due, if you want to continue using advertisements through iRacine.com (Directory Only). The general site advertisement program is similar to the directory and also managed by Google Checkout.
